What is the SCA? What do they do?
The SCA is the Society for Creative Anachronism, a historical recreation and reconstruction organization.
It attempts to recreate the arts, sciences, and skills of the Middle Age through Renaissance (600 to 1600AD). It has been going strong for over 25 years.
Most folk associate armored combat with the group, however there are many other crafts involved.
No real historical personas are allowed, and all titles are earned.
It is also a very unique social club, where people of many different backgrounds can meet. (It beats a bar!)
You do not have to be a member to attend a gathering, but it would be appreciated if you would attempt to dress in period clothing.
