Konn Gemstar

Ever wonder what guides you in your life?

Is it your own free will, are the spirits able to guide or move you, or is there some greater force? Is it your will mixed with those around you, or is it all of it in one giant tug of war to see what will be dominate?
Everyone has his or her own views. Some cling to their religion and says that guides them. Others are strong enough in their own person to feel they move their world. Some could care less and just go with the flow.

“Do we have spirits or souls?” is a common enough question a mystic may be asked. “Do we pass on to the great beyond or do we reincarnate?” is another and of course, “When we die do we move on or are our actions able to bind us to this place?”

A Shaman or Mystic can only say this, “We talk with the spirits and ask their help. Never have heard them tell me anything about what they are facing on their side of the veil.”
I am a Bard first, but when they pulled me onto the boat I had a chance to look at another view of the universe. This time I felt pulled to seek more answers to the ballads I once sung and seek the legends on the other side. So here I am, a mystic.

I remember my village high in the mountains and all I have lived to see so far. Stars so clear you felt like you could reach up and touch them, waters that rushed upon a city in the valley, and sitting by the fire cooking things I had just cleaned.
Yet in my mind’s eye I saw a man like me in so many ways, yet not me. A Bard, but his world looks so strange with lights and images that move in a chest of glass. So many things familiar, yet not, in his ways. The one true binding element is our honor. Neither of us will die foolishly, but also we would not back down from a battle.

I wonder how close we are in appearance?
Bah! I speculate on something I see in my dreams. How could such a thing or person exist in this universe?
This world I live in is filled with evil, which must be quelled. I watch as fools and children run blindly into oblivion, somehow secure in the fact that I will pull them back from beyond the veil. What would happen if the spirits held them to the other side? Would they be more cautious with their lives or would they still assail the evil with every fiber of their being?

How many times has Kon Gemstar existed?
Start back in 1978 when he was first created in AD&D. Still exists.

Recreated in Asheron’s Call. Tried in original Everquest but was unable to continue.
Now in 2004 with one adjustment in his name – Konn – he is recreated.
So how much of Konn’s dream is true? Look at the picture below to see how similar we are in physical conditions. Then fight along side me. You already read some of our lives – so you can come to your own conclusion. I play on both Blackburrow and Steamfont servers. Yes I know a barbarian Shaman takes a power and wisdom hit, but that is what makes role playing great - overcoming limitations through intelligent playing.
